Musings On... the New Moon in Aries 2025

Happy New Moon in Aries! This one comes with a partial Solar Eclipse. This is a moment! Right after the New Moon, Neptune ingresses into Aries! This signals a collective, energetic shift, that we will all feel. It’s a once in a lifetime transit, and we’re passing a threshold in which things will be forever changed. We’re moving from the vast ocean of Pisces into the initiatory spark of the fire sign, Aries. How do we feel this on a personal level?
First, a background. Mercury, and Venus, have been preparing for this moment by retrograding from Aries back into Pisces! They’ve been warming up the threshold, or the part of our chart that contains the gateway into Aries. We’ve been reevaluating our values, our work, or creative projects, our relationships, and our communication style.
Meanwhile, as Neptune has been resting in the last degree of Pisces, (the sign it rules and loves) we’ve been soaking in the dreamy waters of the mystical. Likely, you’ve been literally dreaming! Inspirations may be coming to you in moments of quiet. It may be simple or profound, but a deeper sense for what we want our lives to look like in practical ways is crystalizing in our minds. How are your priorities and values changing? How are you wanting to shift your work? Your relationships? In Pisces, it's about how we want our lives to feel. And really, the sky’s the limit. Time to dream big!

These past two weeks have been about the pause. This moment is about the seeds that are being planted in our lives for our next moves forward. In about two more weeks, things will begin moving forward, and the last half of this year will be about implementation.
Finally, I want to bring up the concept of thresholds in our lives. As the planets move back and forth across the border between the last sign of the zodiac, and the first, we’re reminded to keep one foot in the spiritual world, where we fill our soul with Divine wisdom, and the other foot in the practical world, where we act on the wisdom learned. Even as the Sun, Moon, Neptune, and soon Mercury and Venus move into Aries, the North Node of the Moon is moving back into Pisces. This is a reminder to keep our inner focus on the Source of our inspiration, while we pioneer new territory in the physical world.
