Happy Spring Equinox! Happy New Moon in Aries!

A friend of mine recently spoke regarding physical movement; she said she feels like she’s coming out of hibernation. Her body demanded a winter hiatus, and now she’s reemerging from that time. This image stuck with me… the bear coming out of her cave to greet a new season, blinking in the light, stretching, and feeling her body again. Aches and kinks aside, I’m sure she’s HUNGRY and motivated to do what it takes to survive.

This poignant time, punctuated by the heavens, leads us to a similar understanding. We’re in a window of the life/death/life cycle that symbolizes endings and new beginnings, rebirth, and big awakenings! The word resilience continually comes to mind.

We’re ready to “come out of hibernation”, and have motivation to move forward in our lives in ways that are refreshing, life giving, and require bold moves.

Aries represents a burst of energy. It's combustible, and ready for action! Synchronistically

it usually coincides with stressful situations that require courage, decisiveness, and action. It helps us stand our ground, defend our territory, and claim what is rightfully ours.

Flanked by Neptune in Pisces on one side, and Mercury in Aries on the other, we may feel simultaneously pulled into stillness and action. Balancing both affords determination in our spiritual practice, as well as a higher perspective as we charge ahead. Inspiration at its finest!

Between now and the Full Moon on April 5, the Moon, then Mercury, and then the Sun will all conjunct Chiron in Aries. If we’re paying attention this will likely afford the opportunity to feel, (Moon) the core wounds of fear, anger, and victimization, process them, (Mercury), and then integrate the healing into our being (Sun).

Just as Uranus conjunct the North Node challenged us to awaken to the wisdom of our bodies, and tune into the Earth, Venus now conjuncts the North Node in Taurus. Here the Goddess steeps herself in the long, warm rays of twilight times, kisses our skin with butterfly wings, and tickles our senses with scents of irises, sweetgrass, and tree blossoms. In this brief passage we’re blessed with a gentle reawakening to Earth, and to the healing that flows through beauty.

This is the medicine of our time, and it's wise to satiate our senses with Nature’s glory now.

And now a bit about Pluto. First, many astrologers, more experienced than I, are currently sitting on panels and offering webinars on the topic of its ingress into Aquarius on the 23rd. I encourage you to tune in, as the movement of Pluto defines generations and ages. If you’d like a brief take on the subject, please read on.

As Pluto moves into Aquarius we’re likely to feel a surge of undefinable energy… wild and electric, pulsing with the excitement of potential, and the hesitancy of the unknown. At its low octave (every archetype has two faces) we may see rising crime rates as the dissociative Aquarian shadow emerges. As technological advances surge (also Aquarian) the spirit of humanity within society may be compromised by a mechanical coldness that distances us from the warmth and benefits of shared human experiences.

But these are the shadows, and Pluto is gracious enough to point them out so that they may be brought into the light. Most pointedly, I believe truths, until now hidden, will be revealed on a global, national, local, and personal scale. Reactions may be as diverse as people are; with some choosing denial, and some fear, while others find freedom in the truth.

The high aim here is to awaken to the strength of our individual uniqueness, and to recognize how society benefits when we each show up bearing our personal truth and our gifts. When we each let our inner genius out, and pay homage to the Divine life-giving breath within, we’ll shine. Like stained glass art, we each glow a different color - collective individual panels making a beautiful whole. Our right to individuality is worth making a stand for, and this will become more central as Pluto moves through Aquarius.

The time between now and June is our sneak peek of this energy. In June Pluto wil retrograde back into Capricorn. The back and forth dance will continue until November of 2024, when Puto will settle into Aquarius until March of 2043.

It’s no accident that Saturn has just entered Pisces. Its timing with the turning of the ages offers fortitude for deepened Spiritual practice for those willing to employ discipline and patience. It's needed now more than ever.

Blessings and Love to All. Happy Equinox, and Happy New Moon. May we find Balance as we move forward with courage; keeping Love as our central aim.
